Tabletop Projection

If you cut it up and match the image to resolution, and load a new image each time they move into a new area, then yeah, it will work. I've used 640 x 480 projectors as map projectors before. It is not ideal, but if you have appropriately formatted images and don't need high detail it works.

Just curious what your budget is?
I picked up a 3500 lumen unit for $200. Fortunately, my players chipped in as well, which was a plus.

Tha's a really good price you got there. I could afford a $200 one, but didn't find any for this price!

Another thing is that I'm in Brazil, so there is shipping and probably taxes :(

EDIT: And congrats on your players! Mine never chip in, they cheap out.

I'm going to have to. I've seen some people create a cardboard duct to funnel the heat to an exhaust fan. I've already picked up a couple large PC fans, and since I'll be stuffing a PC in the table, I'll be able to steal power from there. I'll probably add some holes in the bottom to allow air in.
Hopefully that will handle it.

My biggest issue with the whole exhaust thing is someone gets a much warmer seat than everyone else ;)

That they will. If I ever get my wife to join us consistently, she'll probably claim that seat on all but the hottest nights.
