Tabletop Software: So many choices so confusing

Can they make it based off of the stat on their sheet or do they have to write a macro for it? Does the macro need to be updated when certain stats change?

Heh, sorry, "parser" could also be called a text interpreter.

For context, a macro is a preconfigured chat line (that can contain commands such as rolling). So an example macro would be: "Fight [d20]", the square brackets represent an inline roll.

Actually, I was just writing the token property lookup insertion last night. It'll be in the 1.3b17 coming out in a couple days.

I highly recommend checking out our forums, lots of super helpful people, and we have new builds every week or two that are directly influenced by community feature requests. So posting a request for something you don't see often becomes something you _do_ see :)

It's not all that restrictive, really.

True, you can only use a Player Client license on one computer, but if you want to switch computers (say, if you upgrade, or your old hard drive died), you can simply request a new license code free of charge (and your old code gets disabled).

The GM Client is even less restrictive, because you can get a free second license (you simply need to ask for it), so you can run it on two different computers. This is handy because some GMs like to prep their games on one computer (say, a desktop), but actually run the games on another computer (say, a laptop).

I must have missed this on the site... good to know :)
