It's staring at things like this and completely not getting the nostalgia and references being made that makes me truly miss being completely out of the hobby during the 3.x-release days. =/

I'd rather be completely out of the loop but table top RPGing now than knowing the goofy references but without enough reliable people to game now.

Grass is always greener, I guess.

Hey, Spikey! Greatest thing about new editions -- it feels like a high school reunion for a while. :)

Is this what they feel like? Guess I'm glad I didn't go to any of mine. ;)

Eh, once you get past the ex-cheerleaders catfighting, and the stabbings of the teachers with scissors by the dropouts, and avoid the creepy janitor, it's actually a pretty cool reunion. :D

I remember the style of the site, but I stumbled in as a lurker about 6 months after the 3e release. I joined officially much later. I miss the the free resources, copyright infringement and all. :p

Good times, good times. I used to hit that site two and three times a day back when 3e was new to the world. There's a lot I miss about those days.

Especially the massive conversion library; it was initially moved over here with the forums etc. IIRC Ryan Dancey (back when he was CEO of WotC) OK'd it. But after he left, we were contacted by WotC legal.

The conversion library was the thing that put ENW on my radar.
