Taking down a high level psionic critter

OK, we need to lay some serious smackdown on a high level psionic monster. All Im wondering if there is anyway I can get a spell to take it down - of course it has a MR and then probably a decent will save. Now certain spells, usually AE, get round the MR... but as this encounter will be a party killer - well it is end of session - we like to surprise the GM, dont all players, and im wondering if there are any techniques that will allow me to feeblmind this varmit...

How have you guys used feeblemind against a caster?

Blindness. A lot of psionic powers are targeted, and it's a Fort save so you'll have an easier time making it fail.

Invisibility all around can achieve more or less the same effect.

Do you know what levels its primary abilities are? Last I knew, the ruling was that for the purposes of things that want a level, augmenting a power doesn't change its level. So if a nasty creature uses things like auto-augmented mind thrusts and energy missiles, they are still treated as 1st or 2nd level powers respectively for the purpose of lesser globe of invulnerability. That should perturb its efforts to hurt you, at least.

Ooh ooh nice one - i do indeed have minor globe....
I have no idea - but it seems to putput a psychic shock effect as an entire area effect every round... as it is centred on itself, im presuming it doesnt have to see us to attack us in that case.

What does this psychic shock do (damage, stun, daze)? Or do you know?

Is it a psionic monster or is it a psionic NPC? There's a big difference between the two.

Either way, Null Magic Field might help with some of its abilities... Unless it's also a soulknife :P

And, uh, what all is your party composition? Makes no sense to suggest wizard spells, for example, if you have no wizard :) And what exactly is "high level" - 12+, 15+, 20+, 30+?

yup - wiz, war, psi-thief all 12th.
It is against psionic brain monster. Blindness mightnot work as not sure it HAS eyes.

psi-thief being the psychic rogue class from the mind's eye or a multiclass psion / rogue? or the lurk?

Don't mean to pester, but knowledge is power, as they say.

At 12th level with a wizard, if you wanted to be creative, do something like Wall of Iron about 5' away from the thing, then knock the wall over onto it. :)

Baleful Polymorph is another option, although Wall of Iron isn't subject to resistances or immunities.

Well - we have been creative before - summoning a dinosaur - all be it aquatic in fornt of a rather large monster certainly took the ref by surprise before. Psi-rogue sounds about right - alas he chose not to go the lurk way.

Just an FYI, but in 3.5 it explicitly states you can't summon aquatic creatures outside of an aquatic enviroment. Nor can you summon creatures in the middle of the Air so the Huge summons plumments 1000' on to your target.

From the SRD Summon Monster I

"Creatures cannot be summoned into an environment that cannot support them."
