Hello!!

I just found out about this RPG and it looks really cool. I was wondering if anyone here has played it before and can tell me about their experiences with the system.

I downloaded the pdf of the basic rules and noticed that it said that the default hit points is based on race and archetype and after initial starting modification it does not change, is this true with the complete system as well.

Currently I run and play mainly d20 and am looking for alternatives for occasional breaks.

Thanks for any info

Excellent game system, excellent rules, kick-ass world. 110% cool.

As for hit points, last I remember you get HP's based on archtype, yes.

But it's been over 10 years since I played. I own most of the 3rd and 4th
edition stuff, but read mainly world info, not the rules, so I'm a bad person
to ask that question too.

But, as a setting...awesome.

(And very similar to d20, at least 3rd ed was)

Talislanta? I seem to recall that game setting in relation to a system called Arcanum, which was a somewhat D20-like system (like the approach to ability score bonuses and saving throws). Primarily I remember there being about 30 or so core classes, and for the most part they each looked fun to play.

Never played it, but about a year ago there was a huge thread about it containing alot of info on it. It was here in general. So if someone might search on it it could be alot of help for you.

Can you find this thread?? I'd love to read it! :)

I am guessing the EN World thread spoken of is at the old forums, or the ones before that. A search here doesn't show anything specific that looks like what was described.

Talislantia and D&D

Thanks for the replies and information.

It seems to me relatively easy to adapt d20 with Tal. I am thinking maybe converting an old D&d setiting to use with the Talislantia ruleset. Any suggestions on adapting D&D races etc.. to be used with Tal4
