Talk about your Eberron character concepts

Please Tell me that makes the Lord of Blades Megatron
I've heard the Lord of Blades described as being more Dr Doom than Megatron. But my character may certainly become one of his targets, especially if he is effective at promoting good relations between warforged and humans. Assuming my DM wants to take his campaign in that direction, of course.

Our group that is just getting started as this as combinations so far:

Changeling Druid, a Kalashtar Soulknife, a Human Artificer with the Mark of Finding, and a Gnome Delver (my own class).

I created my own class because, although the ranger and rogue combination would fit my character concept, I would be getting class abilities that my character just wouldn't use or want. So, my Delver class is a combination of the Ranger, Rogue, Delver class (from Path of Shadows), and Scout (from Star Wars).

We have the bare concept down so far, but the Gnome is a wannabe Indiana Jones, the Human Artificer just wants to have his own business someday, and so far the other two are still making their characters.

I hope some of you don't mind me using some of your ideas for NPC's in my game, cuz many of your ideas are pretty cool.

River, the strange girl with the strange powers being hunted by strange and powerful enemies. Maybe she bears the thirteenth dragon mark?
Rather than a dragonmark, or perhaps in addition to a dragonmark, I see River as some sort of psionic character. So she could be kalashtar or human from Adar, hunted by the Inspired.

Perhaps she is an Empty Vessel (See Inspired) that was being crafted for a Very Special Quori.

I also have an idea of a Warforged who was the last made by his dwarven creator. He made some interesting modifications in his work, including using those strange gems that Kalashatar sold him years ago.

Da'Vinchi will be a Warforged Psychic Warrior who doesn't quite understand why he can do things no other Warforged can. (Think Expansion!!!)

I'm going to play a Drow Ranger, with 2 scimitars and lots of teh angst. Or a Vampire Ninja Pirate. Just like I do in every single game of DnD I ever play. ;)

Firelance I think the warforged paladin idea is a really interesting one... Could have a lot of fun with that. What sort of special mount do you go for?

I'd be tempted to play a formerly idealistic war vetran. Someone who has done some terrible things, thinking it was 'right'. Now a wreck - night terrors, flashbacks, etc, etc. Trying to come to terms with what they did and possibly make ammends...

Would consider a Bard, Druid, Psion or artificer - partly because they fit and partly because I feel like playing one. Most races could work, I think,

That would be a more literal adaptation, true.

But in Firefly, River is hunted because she is apparently the only psi around. In Eberron, just psi power alone isn't enough to make her a target.

But the return of the thirteenth mark? That's big news.

Dark Psion's idea is cool, too.

Its a natrual combination that works really well actually.

The Warforged need the artifcers to stay in good repair and to keep functioning. In return they provide their services as friend and bodyguard to the artificer. In the case of casting classes they provide other things and so forth.

I for one think a Warforged Artificer with Mithril Body would be a great character. I've long been a fan of artificers and artifice yet couldent quite see them as an adventuring type character. The Eberron artificer takes care of that cause while the infusions are useful they dont replace the party wizard or cleric and the Traps ability makes it so that you dont have to have a Rogue in a party to take care of those pesky glyphs of warding or DC 21+ deadfalls.

I like also how they made the warforged. In my own campaign setting they were always NPC'd and not stated. Finally I can stat them out and use them as more than window dressing.

I'm thinking that a Warforged Artificer (Mithril body for extra AC and to permit a high dex) could be personified as something like a Warforged Medic and Combat Engineer taking care of traps or similar, healing war forged and buffing them with his infusions. Not something they nessisarly use on the battlefield (while it could still be done, taking care of 'mines' and doubling as a medic for damaged warforged post-battle) but more as part of smaller strike teams where a Combat Engineer type war forged would have a significant role in the team.
