Talon Comics- Highly Annoying

Belen

Hey all,

Does anyone have a number for Talon comics? After all the hype the store has received on EnWorld, I decided to order from him. It has been nearly two weeks since I ordered the book. The only receipt I have comes from PayPal. I have no shipping/ tracking number and zero confirmation that it has shipped. Just a verbal e-mail from him that said he hoped to have it shipped out to me by Tuesday/ Wednesday of last week. And he has not responded to my last few e-mails.

I must say that I am really disappointed. Orders from other RPG vendors that I ordered on the same day as from Talon arrived last week. It's like my money has been dropped into a Black Hole.

I do not see why so many people rave about Talon Comics. So far, it has been a very disappointing experience for me.

I did look at his web site and I have sent several e-mails that have had no replies. I know that Derek checks EnWorld, so I am hoping that he sees my post.

BelenUmeria,

I'm sorry you are having trouble with your purchase. As dagger pointed out, try the website for an email and contact information.

If after you have tried to reach the owner, you are still not satisfied, paypal has rights a buyer can exercise to get a refund.

As I said, try to contact the owner and if you need additional assistance, ask.

Good luck, I've been in your situation although it was with a different vendor.

Be sure to save the emails as documentation of your attempts to contact him. You have two options, you can either try to reach him via the phone or start the Paypal process to get your money back.

Is it possible he was occupied with the San Diego Comicon and/or Gen Con? (Both of which have been in the past two weeks.)

If he was at either of these, it might have delayed shipments and response time.

The cons I do not see as a good excuse. We have all gone through the debates regarding small retailers versus Amazon/ Wal-Mart. Small retailers need to do it better than the behemoths. That means orders need to go out regardless of the events taking place.

This really annoys me as the book was a gift for someone who is going away. I ordered in plenty of time to receive it. He moves on Thursday and the last time I was supposed to see him was last Saturday, so I will have to take it upon myself to ship it to him once he gets settled.

I do not see a con as a good excuse not to stay in contact with your customers, and I ordered the book the Friday before GenCon!
