Talon Comics- Highly Annoying

Is it possible he was occupied with the San Diego Comicon and/or Gen Con? (Both of which have been in the past two weeks.)

If he was at either of these, it might have delayed shipments and response time.

And neither of those are good excuses for ignoring a customer. How ironic - you never see amazon.com closing up shop to go to a convention.

I also occassionally never see orders get filled by Amazon.

Funny, they emailed me today to tell me that I was finally going to get an order shipped to me this week. I had ordered it as a Xmas gift for someone last year. File this one under Backorder Hell.

How many people work at Amazon?

How many people work at Talon Comics?

Life isn't the simpsons. 24 hour, one-man Quick-E-Marts don't work. :)

Ahem...
First, I am sorry for not getting back to you sooner as I've been a little overwhelmed as of late with the revised core books and this week's Arcana Unearthed release coming in today. If this is who I think it is, I have your order going out today and because of the delay I'll upgrade it to Priority Mail so it should be there by Thursday.

I did not attend either of the cons as frankly I'm just too busy to do so right now. My number one priority is to get orders out. If I had attended Gencon, as much as I wanted to go, would have gotten me even further behind.

I am, for all intents and purposes, a one man show. I've never said I can out perform amazon because being one person that would be impossible. However, my store's specialities are games and comics which I can confidently say I know more about than amazon.

Once again please accept my apology for the delay. I am working very hard to get all of these orders out as fast as I can.

If you have any questions feel free to post here, email me or drop me a call at the store.

Hell, Derek should get the place that the customer is going to mail it and ship it straight out.

On the other hand, one thing I love about Amazon is that they don't charge you until it ships. If I ever get a charge and I have no shipping information, I'm on the phone challenging the charge that day. I work too hard for my money for someone to give themselves an advance at my cost.

I'm pretty sure that web sales are, for the most part, legally identical to telephone and mail-order sales. Which means that it usually isn't legal (at least in the US) to charge for a product until it ships. If anyone ever does otherwise, you should call them on it right away.

There are many websites which charge your credit card immediately, whether they ship immediately or not.

Some even charge you now for something you preorder and won't be released for 3-4 months.

I actually like this. If I have the money now, I might not have it in 3-4 months.
