Talon Comics...What's the deal?

Hi,

I placed an order with Talon Comics almost 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing from him. I have e-mailed him at least twice and no reply. I find this very odd considering my dealings with him before have been excellent. Does anyone on the boards know what is going on? I would really like to have my Oathbound in my hands right now. Any help or answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You are going to get a bunch of answers about all the problems he has been going through over the last 6 months, so be prepared. I do not buy into any of the excuses myself. If you are in business you need to take care of business and not ignore your customers. After waiting for an order for 4 months, I gave up on Talon and moved on.

I suggest you give FRP Games a try. The prices are better and the customer service is 1,000 time better. FRP also has a pre-order program which allows you to buy books several months in advance, insuring that you get them and do not have to worry about them being "sold out"; an excuse Talon used on me more than once. I have used FRP for the last four months and have never had a problem. They use Paypal just like Talon does, so there is no additional inconvience when switching companies.

Try in Nutkinland rather than here; Talon can't access the EN Boards unless he uses someone else's computer (weird Mac problem).

Still, there's an EN World poster (Paladin, I believe) who knows Talon (or something like that) and might be able to help you with this.

See folks, I wasn't the only one. I finally received PART of my order after 3 months.

He still hasn't responded to an email I sent a week ago about the "backordered" product.

Read the comments left on Talon's guestbook. If that doesn't scare potential customers away, I do not know what will.

When I first started visiting this site, all I ever heard was glowing kudo's for Talon. Now all we get to see, are frustrated customers. I hope you can get things worked out.
