You could also check out Nemesis, the Cthulhu-themed version of Greg Stolze's ORE system (as seen in Reign, Wild Talents, and Godlike).
 


kiznit pointed out to me that the entire Tannhäuser rulebook is available on the FFG site as a pdf.

It's a craptacular scan, though. Still, it does the job.

That *does* look interesting. My normally D&D-centric group has been on a D&D-boardgame* kick lately with the birth of a new child.

* - You know: Descent, Doom, Runebound, etc.

yup, downloaded and printed out. I'll read it over multiple times before I pick up the game.

As for rpg I'm going with True20 I picked up on free rpg day with elements of the modern srd.
