Thanks for bringing this up Obviously if you wanted to take down a lot of spells with a Greater Dispel you would use it as an area spell, however even as an area spell it would still take down fewer spells than a chained targeted dispel in this case it would be .65*6 which would be on average 3.9 spells, now these would all be the highest level spells on the PC's so one could argue that you get a bigger bang for your buck, but if your goal is to take down as many spells as possible a chained targeted dispel is better.
