Yes. If no examples exist then your objection is moot.
Fine. It's not exactly the same as my earlier objection, but it is similar enough.

You can place another spell upon your person so that it comes into effect under some condition you dictate when casting contingency.
In all cases, the contingency immediately brings into effect the companion spell, the latter being “cast” instantaneously when the prescribed circumstances occur.
I'm a wizard who is planning on going into an area known for its environmental dangers. So, I prepare an cast Protection from Energy (Fire) on myself. Furthermore, I cast a Contingency spell that states, "If my Protection from Energy (Fire) spell should be dispelled or run out, cast Protection from Energy (Fire) on me."
Now, when you cast a targeted Dispel Magic on this wizard, it is important to note whether or not the Contingency is itself dispelled before the Protection from Energy (Fire) spell is.
Alternatively, "Contingency: Whenever I am rendered helpless through ability or hit point damage, Teleport me to my inner sanctum."
The wizard currently has 4 Strength due to poison damage and a Bull's Strength spell. He's hit with a targeted Dispel Magic - do you check the Contingency before or after the Bull's Strength?
I'm sure you could find a condition closer to my earlier objection by using Contingency with a [Lesser] Globe of Invulnerability, but I believe I've demonstrated the validity of my objection.
