[Tavern Thread] The Dunn Wright Inn

Iago's features give nothing away, but his already grayish-green skin seems to go a deeper green. With a desperately nonchalant air, he rises.

"Excuse me a moment," he offers unsteadily, and staggers to the door. Moments later, there are the sounds of retching and the splash of something liquid hitting the canal.

Sniffs the drink and has immediate reservations. Then as the other half-orc rises and precedes to evacuate his innards on the outside walk he pushed the beverage forward.

"You're very kind sir but I think I'll stick with the piss for now." He sips the drink and very casually places it back down on the bar. "Amazing how just a sip can make you entirely not thirsty."

NPC, Grog the Bartender, Retired half-orc fighter

Grog chuckles, a rumbling sound like an avalanche or a bunch of rocks being jostled around in a potato sack, and he watches the younger half-orc Iago not be able to stomach the brew.

He takes away the second mug since the pointy eared one is not going to try it, "Soots yaself."

The 'orc piss' is your usual, slightly watered down ale that is available everywhere since the water is not too safe to drink. Grog has not been pre-filtering it for the patrons.

Iago makes his way back into the Dunn Wright, maintaining a self-conscious air of cool disinterest. He returns to his seat at the bar and, when he thinks no one is looking, empties the rest of his mug into a nearby spittoon.

Denizel turns around at the bar to face out to the rest of the patrons. He was really hoping it would go smoother than this. With a moments peace from the ruckus he begins to hear some faint familiar voices. This is inappropriate. . . shows poor judgement. . . dressed like an idiot, when do we get the form fitting leather. Why can't we. . . play the game! Let's play the Game!

He suddenly jumps up from the bar and approached the man named Jangles. "What was that about a game of chance sir?"

NPC, Jangles the Gambler

Jangles looks at Denizel with a big smile of welcome, "Yes I did, but we need a few more to make it sporting. What about your half-orc friend over there? These two don't look interested."

He collects his dice back from the table where Krad and Therella are seated.

"I know of two halflings that might be interested, but they have been known to cheat."

Denizel considers the mans offer for a moment, then others seem to consider it as well. Hardly a respectable companion, do it! do it!, oooo halflings. Let em cheat. He may seem slightly confused, but recovers quickly enough. He turns to Iago, to see if he's interested.

Yoshiki Akita returns

A short human man wearing loose robes and sandals opens the door of the Dunn Wright. He pulls a traveler's backpack off his back as he makes his way to an open spot at the bar, a long expression on his face as if he has just been beat down emotionally lately and is contemplating the very purpose of his existence. Sitting down, he flags down the bartender and gestures for a drink. As he waits for his beverage, he stares blankly off behind the bar, as if he could drill a hole in the far wall with his eyesight.

Human Monk 2, looking for work.

OOC: I am getting ready to start part 2 of my adventure "Bloodcove Disguise". Aldern Foxglove has not been seen since mid-April. I am looking to replace his character. Any lvl 3 (preferably a fighter type) interested, let me know.

OOC: position filled, thank you.
