[sblock=ooc]As a general announcement, after tomorrow I will be unable to access the site until Nov 1. Unit 16 wishes to sign up for any adventures that include Jarren and Pis (and Ryda if she ever shows up).[/sblock]

"Oi, if ye guard get stabbed in the ass, he must be careful in front of who he shows it up. Showin' yer ass to an orc get ye in those kinda situations ye know. From where I see it, if you'd have let him be, ye'll still have yer 5 "finest" and yer honour. I think I saw it crawling there lad." taunts the dwarf from his table.

A figure enters the tavern. He's new to most of you, but some of you might remember his only other visit a few days ago.

OOC: Or 4 months ago, in real time

His most striking features are his purple skin and silver eyes, which mark him as a Deva to all but the most ignorant observers. On close observation, you might observe a tuft or two of short, blue hair peeking out from under a large skullcap.

Coloration aside, his physical attributes are all very much average - he doesn't look strong enough to wield the greataxe that is slung across his back - yet when you see him hold it, the weight seems to vanish from it - he can wield it like a much larger man might - powerful chops and slashes, but also with clever fients and an almost supernatural ability to anticipate and deflect his foes' attacks.

If you get a close look at his hands, you'll notice a web of scars across his palms - not that unusual on someone who works with blades, but these scars seem far too numerous for one as young as he is.

kal'Tarron wears no armor - instead he is clad in a robe of scarlet, with white trim that is stained a crimson/pink. A golden amulet, bearing the horned symbol of Balinor hangs from his throat - seeing it suffuses all those who respect the sovereign host with a slight sense of hopeful energy.

He looks wearier than last time you saw him, but stronger too. His vestments show a few fresh patches, and his a number of painful looking burns can be seen on his epxosed skin.

Pis lifts his cup in greeting to kal'Tarron. He remembers the avenger leaving to work for some professor just before his own departure. Turning back to the dwarves, he motions for Braddock to continue his tale.

Braddock greets the new warrior as is custom to the tavern. At Pis's direction, he starts again, "Right, well where was I...." His hand rests on poor, insane, and departed Rumbum's head, thrumming thoughtfully.

"Oye! That's right, goblins! So these goblins, before humans made their way to Khorvaire, made a mighty kingdom. It spread from coast to coast, built of migthy cities and towns. They had enslaved the orcs, likely for heavy labor" Braddock pats Rumbum's head, "and the gnomes... although I'm not right sure what they did with the gnomes..."

"They also thwarted any attempts by the elves to establish any meaningful colony here. See Muzdum, not all gobbos are bad!"

Braddock takes a fresh draw from his pipe, "Then they died! Well, most of them did, anyway."

"Hump! I say dat since dere 're elves 'round dey did a crappy job." chuckles the dwarf. When Braddock stops speaking, he sets for a mor confortable position. "Such unexpected story arc. I'm thrilled mate, go on, 'is getin' interestin'!"

A tall, suntanned and trim Eladrin walks into the room and after ordering a drink, sits down next to the taller Deva. His clothes are torn, in disarray, and appear to be covered in blood, possibly some or all of it his own. "I need to get a bath Kal and get my clothes cleaned and repaired. I haven't been in that bad of a fight in years. I hope the professor doesn't send us into another Dhakaani ruin where dark magic works just fine, but normal magic seems hampered. Celebrate he says. Well, if celebrating is his idea of enjoying survival, then I guess we could celebrate. Personally, I just want that hot bath."

After a few moments, he looks at Kal and says "Do you want to try to recruit some sellswords here in the tavern, or should I?"
