[Tavern] Tower's Shard 2011

Belanaar looks at the man with wide eyes. "Errr... Me?" he says, pointing to himself unassuredly..
As the halfork begins asking his questions, its only after that he realize he's been asking them of a barmaid. Oh, aye? Ye be look'n for that artific'n fella that just went inna back room.
OOC: Those being recruited for THB's addy should go there.

Belanaar scratches his temple before embarrassedly saying, "Ah... right. Heh." He makes his way into the back room, stumbling a bit and bumping into a table or two, thinking to himself. "So this is what alcohol does to a man...?

The doors to the tavern open and a woman, no older than thirty, enters the building. With long dark-brown hair and pale skin, she would probably be fairly pretty, but her face is marred by a number of faint scars.

She gives a half-hearted wave to Brews, and in doing so reveals the Blood of Vol rosary wrapped around her hand. "As before, my name is Alexia..." she trails off when she catches sight of Czern, and the armor he wears. Introduction forgotten, she quickly makes her way over to the moving corpse.

"You. You're a... or at least were a..." Alexia smiles nervously, "I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude. It's just been a while since I've seen a fellow Karrn around here." She curtsies, "Alexia Madgearu, at your service. If you don't mind my asking, how did you come to be here?"

[sblock=Insight 29]Alexia may look human, but there is something about her eyes, her teeth, and the way she seems to subconsciously avoid walking through sunlight that makes you very certain she's at least part-vampire.[/sblock]

OOC: Alexia Madgearu, level 8 bard.

The undead's head swivels and then looks down upon the shorter woman, regarding her curiously a moment. Then he puts an arm over his chest and inclines his head in a show of respect. I am Czern Belog, 2nd Lieutenant, Black Wolves, daughter of Karrn. I am... on leave. Extended. The Wolf sleeps, so I exist until I hear the call. He finishes his bow, then adds, Are you in need?

"Am I in need? Only of employment." Alexia sits in a nearby chair. "I take it," her eyes flicker to the pile of refuse that had until recently been on Czern's armor, "that not many of the people you've encountered have been treating you with respect. That's not right." Genuine anger flashes briefly across her face, "You deserve better."

A living creature might gesture, perhaps shrug, but the undead knight had no use for such motions. It is of no matter. I seek to improve myself; the low state of others is not my concern. He pauses a moment, then inclines his head once more. But your interest is appreciated.

Czern takes in the motley group in the tavern, then turns again to Alexia. Is employment to be sought here? What work have you found?

Alexia shrugs, "Oh, mercenary work, typically. Every now and then someone with sufficient wealth will come in looking for hired swords. Or hired spells. Or both. Speaking from personal experience, I've been hired by a dwarf noble to guard her heirlooms, and by a professor to investigate an archeological site. And... that's been it. Not terribly exciting, in hindsight." She stretches a little, "Still, any opportunity to practice one's skills is appreciated."

OOC: Yeah, but only Czern is obviously dead. Of course, Narvala has enough Insight to out Alexia with a fairly easy roll (but not passively, so she'd a reason other than "All Karrn are undead"). ;)
