I don't know much about all these crazy rules being tossed around, but since Queenie is hosting the Girl's Night how will she be able to join the Rapscallions? Or, do you not have to actually go to the Red Garter to become a member of the TBR's?

Queenie expressed an interest, and we don't exclude womenfolk--as outlined in the Tonya Provision--but I can only recall "Founder Emeritus" status (the J47 amendment) allowing membership without attendance.

CL, Ethernaut, Hellhound, Twin Rose or Stone Angel need to chime in; but I think membership without having ever attended the function wuld cheapen us.

Journeymen are not "Lowly" man, and I think it's unfair to brand you with terminology like that.

Initiates are "Lowly".

Journeymen are "In Good Standing".

Oh, and I don't know who is in contact with the other Journeymen at this point (it's still really early) but I would like to put forward that--given the success of last year's outing--they all be submitted for their Full Pins.

Well, I'm a bit peeved at her right now. I've done nothing but foster goodwill towards her, and was told that she would be accompanying us. If she wants to turn down my offer to initiate her, I suppose that's her decision. I'll have to discuss it among the other elders. However, it is clearly written that the only way to become a member of the TBR is to undergo the initiation rites and attend an outing, of which there is but one a year. If she wants to host a girls night out at the same time, that's her loss.

I'm against new membership without attending. Attendance is the footprint of the society. No attendance, sorry, try again for membership next year.

Since the purity that is Old One has never darkened the doorstep of said Red Garter (or the various and sundry other establishments around the globe that bare bear passing similiarity to the Garter, as described in previous correspondence), I must say that my curiousity is peaked and therefore must humbly request that I - as a virtuous man of adventure and science - be allowed to accompany said expedition out of thirst for knowledge and enlightenment...

I put Old One up for nomination as an initiate this year. Anyone care to second? I can vouch for his worthiness, having met him (and drank Guinness provided by him) on several occasions. He would make a fine addition to the TBR once he completes the rites.

I lean that direction myself. I mean, if you aren't planning to attend, then why are you seeking membership?
