TCotM: Ashna's Idylls

*As Ashna approaches the Crux, the world seems to disappear in a flash of light and a strange rippling feeling. As the feeling subsides, she finds herself...somewhere else. She is in some sort of throne room of some sorts. The throne is built of finely-polished obsidian and the room is carved from strong igneous rocks and furnished with a fire decor that Ashna finds aesthetically pleasing. Torches of bright pure flame burn all along the wall, and though she doesn't feel any heat, she notices flame flickering around her in an aura of some sorts.*

Ashna tries to determine the nature of the aura around here and whether she (he's still a she, right?) is alone. She also concentrate on which, if any, spells are still anchored to her mind. When she is satisfied that it is safe, she will approach the throne, on the outlook for any hints where she may be.

*Examining the aura and herself carefully and using her knowledge of the elemental planes, Ashna determines that she has somehow been infused with elemental fire and gained some traits possessed of fire elemental creatures. In fact, as she notices it, she realises that she has the power to agitate the latent fire elemental energy within her body and become liquid flame, and the aura is a residual glow from being in a very minor version of this state. Ashna had instinctively returned to her female form because that is what she looked like before the incident with the Crux, but she has the feeling she could sculpt the flame and then resolidify herself to change surface features of her form as she sees fit.*

*The room seems to be empty, for the moment. She has access to exactly the spells anchored in her mind before the Crux affected her, no more and no less.*

*Approaching the throne, it seems fitted for a human-sized creature and bears sigils of arcane power that she recognises as granting control over elemental fire. Perhaps proximity to this throne causes the strange elemental infusion?*

Out of curiosity, Ashna attempts to reshape her left small finger into a claw, and back again, while she scans the room for other interesting features, such as exits. Wondering about the possible extent of the transformations, she also attempts to form a functional sixth finger, and then returns to normal.

*Ashna is able to reshape her hand into a claw, though it seems like it is merely a cosmetic change, since an attack from her hand made of liquid flame would hurt the same amount as the claw made of liquid flame. She can also give herself a sixth finger.*

(OOC: Functional cosmetic changes, but she can't give herself six arms and a marilith tail and take extra attacks, etc)

*The room has a large set of double doors on the opposite side as the throne. A carpet woven skillfully with a fire and flame motif leads from the double doors to the throne.*

Ashna puts a hand on the throne, wondering out loud "Whose throne are you? Whose have you been? Whose will you be?" Though she has her suspicions given the look of her surroundings, Ashna is not ready to act on them yet. Assuming that there is no answer, she moves towards the double doors, looking whether she can easily open them as she goes.

*The throne makes no response. As she approaches the double doors, she notices that there is also a smaller door on the side of the room that was blocked from her initial view by a pillar of obsidian. She thinks she should probably be able to open the double doors without issue.*

Noticing the smaller door, Ashna shifts her path towards it, assuming that it probably leads to more private chambers that will give her more of a hint of her whereabouts.

*Ashna's suspicions are correct, as the door opens into a small corridor leading to a series of other doors on either side that look like they would lead to private chambers. There is a larger door at the end of the corridor.*
