Tear Water Tea

I used to have a couple of spoons, but these days I keep the books in a seperate pile and turn to them every time I want to run a one-off or a session at a Con. Last year it elevated BESM out of the pile, this year it does the same with Phil Reed's Vs. Monsters.

That being said, I still doubt that I'll ever seriously run a game of Starchildren (great concept, not a fan of the system) or Eden's Buffy game.

Arcana Unearthed and related, for me. Green Ronin's Testament.

EDIT: I loved Frog and Toad when I was younger. I'd say "when I was a kid," but I'm only 17 now.

I just ordered Legends of Excalibur - my first book other than the core 3 - and already I'm willing to bet that it's gunna fall behind the stove because I can't think of a single gamer in my area who might be interested to play that.

I'm the DM. If I pick something up and want to run it, generally, I do. I do have a strong belief in meeting 50/50 or so on doing what my players want and what I want, but, generally speaking, I've influence enough to do what I want.

With that said, one book I was never able to use was my L5R one. The original system, not the d20 Rokugan. I was big into the card game, so picked up the RPG to further supplement that. I had one friend take an interest in it, but none of my other friends really were into L5R, so running a game never happened. I had the main book as well as the Unicorn and GM's guide, none of which I ever used.

Since then, though, any book I pick up is one I'll likely wind up using, if I want to, and I even set my players buying habits, to a degree. I actually felt a bit bad for starting up a Star Wars game a month back because, at the time, not one of the players but for the new guy owned any of the books (myself included).
