[tech] Converting ASP to PHP?

MS Access sometimes dies with large numbers of simultaneous connections does it not? I'm thinking a PHP-MySQL system would be better for long term growth.

Of course, however hard you think it might be to convert it - it's 10 times harder for me! :D

I've seen access fall to it's knees under heavy load, and I know access has a limit on how big the mdb files can be, i want to say 2GB but I don't recall for sure.

As for porting ASP to PHP, I'd only do it if the ASP pages are not meeting your needs, are not going to meet your needs in the future, or you think you may have a problem maintaining them down the road.

Just my 2 cp.
