Here's one of my favorite examples of a real world weapon that didn't take off in popularity: the Nock gun

That gun probably wasn't very popular because the seven-barreled recoil was as likely to incapacitate the firer as anything else. However, in a fantasy setting, where giants, and ogres, and trolls exist, the recoil from such a gun wouldn't really be an issue.

What do you say @RangerWickett , will we be seeing any giantkin wielding 7-barreled "boomsticks"?
