I got that wonderful rain too here in Virginia. I keep my computer and my books on the second floor of my townhouse to prevent just such an eventuality. My insurance company would freak if I presented them with a figure to replace ALL of my Role-Playing books.

Unfortunately, we game downstairs.

However, I have moved all my books onto shelves or on top of all the rubbermaid storage containers.

A couple that plays in my game owns their own business so we play in their conference room on the 6th floor of an office building. I don't really have to worry about floods there either.
