Telepaths and Enchanters got the shaft!

I've tried to think my way through this one, but it never seemed right, so I figured I'd ask around here...

With the charm powers, your new "friend" would share any experience earned with your party, right? He is an ally now, after all.

With the Dominate powers though, how is experience affected? Is the controlled creature sharing experience with you? DOes he not recieve any?

Does charming an opponent to end a possible combat encounter count as oversoming an obstacle? (ie. does it give experience rewards?)

And last but not least, if any or all of these things are true, wouldn't the Telepath (or Enchanter) have a hard time keeping up exp. wise with the group?

Keep in mind that in any case, NPC's in general get only 1/2 share of experience. I don't see any reason why a charmed NPC would stop getting experience. A dominated NPC, well, I don't know.

All party members would be equally affected by adding an additional 1/2 share to the party, so the telepath/enchanter would not be affected any more than any of the other characters would.

You get experience for overcoming a challenge no matter how you do it. If the NPC is no longer keeping you from accomplishing whatever it is you were trying to accomplish, you've overcome the challenge.
