Has anyone ever played a Loxo PC?

Have any DMs used they to effect?

and why on earth do they have two trunks?

Nifft, why do you hate Desmond Tutu ?

At least, the Desmodu look like anthro-bats. Loxos, with their freaking twin-trunks, looks like muppet aliens in some bad 60's sci-fi movie.

So, in my world, the Loxo do not exist, never have, never will, even in the elephant-themed region. :D

I think the Loxo are cool, I see tons of RP posibilities with them. Encounter-wise. If one of my players wants to try to play one I'll probably have a stroke.

I'd probably use Loxos, but only by removing the secondary trunk and making the main one more like a regular trunk. Since it has hands from the picture, I don't see why it needs a pair of trunks..

I prefer the Nycters from MMIII to the Desmodu, frankly. The Desmodu are way too big, burly and flightless to be really bat-like to me..

Yeah the two-trunks is a bit stoopid so if I did use them I'd be loosing that feature too

(I did a google and Loxo first appeared in Spelljammer (so yes they are muppet aliens from bad sci-fi:)) and it appears that the Loxo's hands aren't all that dextrous so they use their trunks instead - but why two I still don't know)

I think I'm enamored of them because of the 'Elephant man' in RE Howards 'Tower of the Elephant' which was the first Conan story I ever read. That race would be too powerful but the Loxo might be an interesting compromise

oh here's stats for Yag-Kosha (the Elephant man) from the Conan D20 site 'Hyborian Age'
