D&D 5E Tenser's transformation and armor.

I am more baffled by penalizing classes with extra attack, by not receiving at least 1 extra attack. A spell that penalizes a Gish that should be more powerful using it. Yet it grants a caster full proficiencies in armor, weapons, etc. and advantage on attack rolls.

I disagree...

it is tenser´s transformation... not tenser´s gish improvement...

Actually I´d like to have set your strength to 15 or so too to actually be able to wear heavy armor properly, but I am totally ok with that spell besides heavy armor proficiency. But now there are two solutions already. ;)

I can understand your sentiment, but they always seems to have a leash on martial ability. It is the litmus test to whatever realism is in the game, but casters are not held to the same standard.
