Wow. It amazes me how quickly life can change. My sincerest condolences to her husband. Were I in his shoes, I honestly don't know what I'd do.

My wife called me earlier and asked that I come home early: she's not feeling very well, is watching some friend's kids (in addition to ours) and wanted to rest while I relieved her for a few hours. I wasn't going to do it. Maybe I should remember how blessed I am to be able to.

When the dice go silent all the worlds shall mourn. May the next roll be to their memory.

My sympathies and prayers.

I am very sorry to hear that...
My sympathy to the family and friends...

Some people come into our lives
and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us
to new understanding
with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make
the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile,
leave footprints on our hearts
And we are never, ever the same.

Whenever a person dies, a part of the universe is destroyed. The universe is now a smaller and sadder thing.
