Cast Fly.
Fly up to a point 500 feet directly above the box, skirting the Antimagic Field.
Fall through the Field onto the box - casting Feather Fall 10 feet above the top Wall to avoid damage.
Cast Dimension Door to appear inside the box.
Stand next to the granite block.

Surprise Round: Cast Solid Fog centred on the granite block.

Round 1:
(Initiative 10) Cast Stone Shape on the granite block to open it up (using touch for line of effect)
(Initiative 9) Golems advance 10 feet (speed 5' due to Solid Fog).

Round 2: Grab the Heart (Move Action) and cast Dimension Door to arrive at a point directly beneath the box (no AoO due to total concealment).

Fall through the Antimagic Field for 500 feet, then Fly back to the tunnel entrance.

Spells cast:
4th: Dimension Door x2, Solid Fog, Stone Shape
3rd: Fly
1st: Feather Fall

Well dang, Stone Shape is listed as a 5th level spell on page 284, but 4th level on page 194. I assume there was an erratum for this? That'll teach me to not follow up on those...

Nicely done, very very close to my solution. Could you do it without Stone Shape?

Also, a slight problem with your solution. How do you know you are 10 feet above the Wall of Force?

Not a problem at all. In fact, the Feather Fall spell does not necessarily need to be cast. Once out of the Antimagic Field, the caster can stop in mid-air with his Fly spell which reinstates (unless the DM rules that the Fly spell cannot do this in which case once the spell caster is able to have Fly lift him again, he could still cast Feather Fall immediately since it states in FF that it can be cast with an instant untterance).

Um. Maybe, but I don't like it. The granite is too big to Shatter, so the only other thing I can see that might work is SM3ing a Small Earth Elemental, and (speaking Terran) asking it to Earth Glide through the granite, pick up the Heart, and Earth Glide back out. Not sure if that's legal, and it takes longer to sort out than Stone Shaping it.

Yeah - the Feather Fall was more of a security blanket than anything else. Worst case, you can actually cast it in the AMF. It comes into effect (since you have Line of Effect to yourself) but it's suppressed, and kicks in once you leave the Field. Alternatively, if the DM doesn't like Fly being used as a signal, cast Light on something before taking the plunge, and cast FF when it lights up again...

I must have complicated all by myself. I was kind of ruling out every spell with a save since it doesn't guarantee success. Actually, I thought your riddle was to be solved without any spell at all.

Yes, that was what I came up with. SM3, surprise round cast Solid Fog and Earth Elemental moves into block. I agree that allowing it to grab and extract the Heart is not clearly defined in the rules.

The light thing is good as well. I used a non-magic solution: a 10 ft. rope tied around the waist with a small bell attached to the end
