Thanks to EN Publishing for EN Critters: Ruins of the Pale Jungle.

Just used it to supply monsters to the jungle isle where I placed the adventure Bloddy Jack's Gold.

Worked extremely nicely. One of the best values I've gotten from a d20 product. The product is very focused on monsters for a particular locale but provides a variety of different kinds. I highly recommend it for anyone planning any jungle adventuring.

I particurly liked browsing through it and quickly finding something useful for that locale, compared with poring through 1500+ pages I have in various monster tomes (MM, MMII, MMIII, FF, ToHI&2) looking for Jungle Creatures. Nearly every creature in RotPJ was something worth considering using in my adventure. I just made it the sole source of non-core monsters for that adventure. It was very convenient.

John, you should really do a full review on it since the two current reviews for the book are not this favorible.

Well, just read John Cooper's review, didn't really realize how many errors there were (maybe I had a corrected version).. Didn't really affect me using hte critters. I agree the artwork was silly at times, and I didn't use the parryn for sure. But I'm not a particularly in-depth critic of D&D art. As long as I have a picture to show the players, I'm satisfied. Also, I liked that they included a 'boxed text' to read to players when you encounter the monster (did that start with one of the recent WotC monster books--don't remember).

I'll get to the reveiw, step by step :)

Definitely worth a contrasting view if it didn't affect you.

That's entirely possible. The same day I posted my review, I sent my (rather extensive) error list to the guys who produced the product. If they've used my inputs to fix up their product, then kudos to them - that's always my intention when I provide inputs to the company. The product gets fixed, buyers don't have to apply errata themselves - everybody wins. :)

Could somebody who's recently bought this confirm that it's been done, please? Don't want to think about buying something with that many errors, but the book has general appeal to me.

Same here. I am really interested in this also.

You got an advance copy, John. It has been revised since.
