Thanks to the mods and Morrus

I just wanted to put in a quick word of thanks to the moderators and to Morrus for doing such a great job keeping these boards open and fun for people.

I have been spending some time on the boards for the show Firefly and its forthcoming movie ( the site is www.fireflyfans.net but be warned). Those boards are littered with politics, a little religion, and trolls who are just out to antagonize people. It is very annoying. I was thinking those boards were unmoderated until I saw someone get banned for posting a link to a porn site which they claimed was something else - but I guess everything else is fair game there.

Once again thanks for making this a great place to visit.

Let me second that! ENWorld is a very nice place to visit. I moderate elsewhere, and I have a great deal of respect for everyone here because I see such great efforts.

Actually, I want to turn this around: y'all are so good at self-moderating that our jobs are pretty easy. It's funny to watch all the mods simultaneously leap on a problem when it, rarely, appears .

The members are what make this messageboard so much fun, so my thanks to y'all.

Incidentally, I think because the mods are friendly and in fact, more than a ghostly entity, I have often bit my tongue (or fingers, as it is) or quickly edited a post right after I wrote something, simply because I didn't want to give you guys any trouble.

It's kind of a vicious circle.

Me? Argumentative? Insulting? Nope, not me, I stopped reading certain people's threads before I got that way. And if you don't believe me you are as stupid as...oh, uh...sorry

I was hoping my e-mail was a poster of the month award or something, but it was just a simple request to change my avatar - my man Durkon. I guess Rich Burlew has requested OotS images not be used for avatars and my posting went and called attention to myself and reminded Pielorinho about the request...

I feel like a person who tries to help out a woman who seems to be in trouble and just gets a face full of pepper spray.
