These past two days have been a blast!

There was a time when I intensely disliked WotC -- I think that Eric probably recalls that time -- though over the last four years or so, I have come to see them as a shining example of how a game company should be run. Stuff like this (i.e., the massive 4e info dump and sponsoring Morrus's trip to the con) speaks to the level of devotion that WotC has to its consumer base.

I've got nothing but respect and admiration for the WotC team and how they've run things for the 4e announcement.

Just having Mearls as lead designer is more than I could ever have really hoped for, as I've been designing my campaigns along that vein for a while now.

But what none of you know is that Morrus' ticket was only one way. They gave him a "special" meeting alone to ostensibly tell him what he missed, but the real story is much more sinister.

1. They delayed his arrival so he would miss the general announcements;
2. They got him alone so they could brainwash him;
3. They got him drunk and then secretly implanted their mind-control (psionics aren't optional at WotC) device;
4. They send him back and he tells everyone how great WotC and 4E are.
5. He manipulates the ENWorld boards and select posters (see Eric Noah's OP) to give WotC favorable publicity.
6. He transmits the signal via ENWorld that makes us all buy 10 copies of everything 4E.

Remember: these guys have had years to develop their evil master plans!

/ah...that was fun. Back to the real world now.

I'm eagerly looking forward to 4th Edition and the new D&D insider! Everything I have seen so far is looking good! I can't wait!
