Thanksgiving Dinner

We got lucky this year, in terms of smooth prep. My wife and I worked that kitchen like a well-oiled machine. Bird was done when it was supposed to be done - that's the usual first point of failure, when the bird takes longer than expected to getup to temp.

My brother usually runs the kitchen solo. His wife tried to make sweet potato souffle', but it was a somewhat failure - too much sweet 'tater for the other stuff - nutmeg, all spice and cinnamon. I was worried it would turn into candied yams (way too sweet, even for me). It was ok, just not good. every thing else was spectacular - this year's turkey being better then last year's turkey.

Ok, My brother bought a summer sausage, some stone gound crackers and a Vermont cheddar. I have never tasted Vermont cheddar and I find I like it better then yellow cheddar!
