I know I'm already looking forward to it. Human Paladins are my favorite characters. The usual stat array for 28 Point Buy that I go with is... STR 14, CON 14, DEX 10, INT 10, WIS 14, CHA 14 With a +2 bonus to any two stats, I could up it to the following. STR 16, CON 14, DEX 10, INT 10, WIS 14, CHA 16 I also like how Paladins get four Trained Skills. Something I always hated about 3E was the whole "Two Skill Points Per Level" thing. Effectively two Trained Skills. That's why I always tried to bump Int whenever I could, to squeeze out one or two more Skill Points per level. But with Paladins getting four Trained Skills, that's no longer a concern (Int doesn't seem to provide more Trained Skills, though, so it doesn't matter either way). Add in the human bonus and I've got five Trained Skills to choose from. I just hope there's an option for choosing skills that aren't on your skill list. Other skills like Endurance, History, or Nature would be nice for the kinds of characters I like to come up with. Add in the bonus power, and the possibility that that bonus power can be chosen from other classes, and I'm absolutely thrilled. I'll be able to get Bolstering Strike and Holy Strike, and possibly throw in a Cleave as well. Or Tide of Iron. Or if I really wanted to go nuts, an Eldritch Blast (Which begs the question, can a sword be made an Implement?). Tons of possibilities, and I'm dying to try them out, already. And we're talking just one race/class combo.
