10. Because of the GSL delays and the terms of the new license, some companies have decided not to move on to the fourth edition and on most fan sites it has received a mixed reception. These companies may create competition for the Wizards of the Coast in the long term and the fan sites are giving your company negative publicity. What is your plan for dealing with the competition and negative publicity?
We do indeed have plans to deal with the competition and the negative publicity. In fact, pulling the PDFs off the market was a major element our plan to overwhelm our competitors and eliminate negative commets towards our company. The basic concept is to overwhelm our competitors and detractors, rendering them unable to communicate with their customers or provide a forum for dissent. It has worked! The primary competitor of Wizards of the Coast is Paizo and the biggest fansite is ENWorld. Our new PDF policy has led to such a surge of interest in Paizo and such an increase in activity at ENWorld that both websites have crashed for many hours after the announcement! If we keep on making these kinds of decisions on a regular basis our competitors and detractors will be perpetually overwhelmed with interest and traffic and our business will remain safe.
