The Anti-d20 game?

I understand it uses a d20 for a few rolls.

I'm hoping to pick up my copy on Thursday. Savage Worlds makes lots of claims and if it lives up to half of them it'll be a cool game. I don't know if it'll replace Lejendary Adventure as my game of choice, but there is potential there.

BTW, I wouldn't call it an ANTI-d20 game. Too many people around here are too slavishly devoted to that tiny logo. But if it can pull off a full mass combat scenario in less than 2 game sessions (it took 8 with 3e/Chainmail, average session of 4 hours  ) then I'll be impressed.

Define "Mass." :)

I've run up to 25 combatants on the board at one time in 3E in a four hour time span. (20 of the enemies went in groups of 5 each, making it easier on me, but it was still pretty easy to keep up with.)

when's Savage Worlds hitting the streets?

i want to take a look at it, but for some reason i assumed it was still several months off...

Its filtering into stores right now. I ordered mine straight from the company's website though. My LGS (they aren't really friendly) doesn't carry any PEG stuff at all- only D20, WW, GURPS, Paladium, and a couple of others.

The first campaign setting, Evernight, should be out in a month or so.

cool. i know my FLGS will be getting it in -- i had a conversation about Savage Worlds last week with the store manager. he's been one of the playtesters. ;)

I'm going to have to steal that image and port it over to RPG.net.... :D

joe b.

It's adjustable to fit any system...

(..and if you center the image, it gives the illusion of being balanced!) :p
