• Battlefield 2 (PC - 2005)
  • Battlefield 2: Special Forces (expansion pack - 2005)
  • Battlefield 2: Euro Force (booster pack - 2006)
  • Battlefield 2: Armored Fury (booster pack - 2006)

• Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (PS2, Xbox - 2005), (Xbox 360 - 2006)

• Battlefield 2142 (PC - 2006)
  • Battlefield 2142: Northern Strike (booster pack - 2007)

The next game in the series (Battlefield: Bad Company) is set to hit stores later this year, definitely for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 and maybe for the PC and the PSP.

For those of you who (like me), for one reason or another, never got around to getting Battlefield 2: Special Forces and the two Booster Packs (Battlefield 2: Euro Force and Battlefield 2: Armored Fury), you'll be able go get the entire Battlefield 2 series in one fell swoop this week with the release of Battlefield 2: The Complete Collection DVD.

I stay away from BAttlefield 2 these days, since I'm pretty sick of being blown to tiny bits repeatedly by flying aces with 50 to 1 kill ratios. Now Battlefield 2142, there isn't a single map I don't like. What's the "street date" for Northern Strike?

I read somewhere that the latest patch for Battlefield 2142 added three folders named "san francisco", "new york" and "route 66".

Considering that the game's current maps (even after the patch and the Northern Strike booster pack) still only take place throughout Europe and northern Africa, they seem to only be placeholder folders for the time being.

Could those be the settings for future maps?
