The best published adventures

Dreaddisease

First Post
I would like to plan what I'm going to buy in the next 12 months for my D&D needs. With a little help from my friends here at Enworld I would like to know what published adventures you are happy you purchased.

Now its on to convincing the ole wife to let me spend the mula.

Good question. I am not looking for any level in particular. I am looking for a vast number of ideas. I am looking for quality as well as quantity. The text/art/paintings do not have to be of high quality as long as the ideas are solid and straight forward. I have already copied all Iron DMs to text files and have even converted some to my current campaign. But I am looking for more.

Without a doubt I can't stress this much more: GET NECROMANCER GAMES MODS!!!

Trust me. You'll not be dissappointed. Especially when it comes to such romps as Necropolis, Rappan Athuk and Tomb of Abysthor along with Hall of the Rainbow Mage.

i can't stress enough the need to play B1 In Search of the Unknown, B2 Keep on the Borderlands, B3 Palace of the Silver Princess (the orange cover is available as a download at the WotC site), B4 Lost City, etc...go to svgames.com and buy the pdfs or ebay and bid on the originals.

Those three (specially "Keep") have been played/run in some shape or form for me since the beginning. They never get old.

Lately for me one of the sweetest I've come across is Black Ice Well. Very high level, very tough.

I'll second this. My favorite adventures since 3e came out are Tomb of Abysthor, Book of Taverns, Vault of Larin Karr, and What Evil Lurks.

I would also recommend the Vault of Larin Karr, and also the Banewarrens. Note I have not yet run either. But both of them have very nice transitions between dungeon and town encounters, something I value especially since I just completed DMing Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. Darn, but that has a long dungeon. I think we wound up dungeon crawling for something like a year and a half of weekly sessions. If you like a really long dungeon crawl, RttToEE is certainly worth your money.

There's a newer module called Hamlet of Thumble. It's a nice module with great little extra rule options. It has a fully developed town that makes it easy to keep using after the module.
