That's how I plan on running it... if anyone ever plays a paladin.Whereas in 3e, the paladin's mount was constantly there. In 3.5., it was replaced by a summonable mount. There's workarounds -- you can turn the horse summoning into something like Gandalf calling Shadowfax, and the mount arriving from somewhere, rather than appearing in a puff of smoke; but still it feels weird.
