Here I go again!
AGain, I need some assistance with the running of a convention here in Brisbane Australia. About 2 months ago, I posted a message (not on this board) regarding the assistance required for The BIG Weekend 2006, Queensland's Premier Gaming Event. This involved a link to an expression of interest form which allowed people to enter some basic details regarding how they could help.
This involved the following:
What would you like to be involved in?:
* On the Committee
* Assisting the Committee
* Volunteer Prior to Con
* Volunteer During Con
* Running a Game

To date, the response has been mediocre to say the least. Essentially I need more GMs and more writers, although volunteers to generally help would be great!
Any convention cannot run without the assistance of the gaming community. Attending the event and participating is fantastic, and we really appreciate people's patronage, but without the dedicated services of at least 60 volunteers on the day and leading up to the event, it simply cannot run - not without extreme loss to those who end up pulling it together. This is also something that I and many who have been involved in the past refuse to allow to happen any longer.
So now for the crunch. I have set a deadline for assisting until Friday the 30th September 2005 at 5.00pm. No further extensions will be possible as this will seriously impact on the deadlines of the convention. So if there are any Queenslanders (or more specifically Brisbanites) on this board who can help, it would be appreciated.
