[QUOTE="Dristram, post: 3619841, member: 1639"] To all who are looking for an alternative to 3.5, and have tried C&C and it didn't work out, I'd strongly suggest before giving up on it, presenting your issues, frustrations, etc, to the C&C fanboys at the Troll Lord Games forums. The reason is that there could be some misunderstandings of how the game works that they would be more than happy to clear up. Or it could simply be you ran C&C correctly, understand the system, and just don't care for it. But before hanging up the C&C books, I'd look into it to make sure. The reason I make this suggestion is that I didn't clearly understand how to run C&C and from coming from 3.5, I had a hard time mentally switching gears. But once I was able to break free from the 3.5 way of things, it's been heaven. To me, 3e was a great system, but it went too far from the AD&D system. C&C changes things from the old ways of D&D (OD&D and AD&D both) only a little, but enough to smooth out some things for my personal preference. Now my games feel like the old ways which are a good thing for my enjoyment as a GM and for my players who now have more game time to roleplay since combat takes a LOT less time to accomplish the same results.
