The call to other worlds.

The Inducement:

Would you sacrifice everything here for a shot somewhere else-- that has been discussed.

But turn the tables. The wizard is there. He wants /you/ as his hero. At any price. What price would you ask for? Now, remember, the wizard is subject to the rules of the other world. He might be able to give you a new body, teach you magic or other skills, but he can't make you a god, and presumably you'll be outfitted appropriately for adventure anyhow.

But-- bags of gold for your family? Memory wipe spells?

Also, given two days to decide and gather an adventuring party to be appropriately transformed, and the price to be left behind-- would you, could you?

(The Transworld Classifieds: Archwizard named Lorien seeks party for celebration in alternate world. Elves, dwarves, handsome princes provided, along with heart-racing adventure wooing foreign princesses. Suggest beautiful golden-blondes apply elsewhere.)

Give me time to assemble the Gang of Nine and take care of an honor debt or two and I am out the door.

We get new bodies, maybe High Mannish Stock or something very long lived, a decent grub stake and a way back after the job is done.

In exchange (assuming he is a good guy) every ounce of cunning and detrmination we can come up with. No souls or anything like that.

I figure its a twenty year plan so we will start as teens than train

You know I might just write these up. It sound kinda cool.

BTW under the right circumstances I would go IRL no problem

-- It would be very dangerous but hey life ends in death anyway so Live Well Die Well.
and it beats the life I have now, I am exchanging physical hardship (some) for a real challange and a chance to do good on a metaphysical level. I can live with that

This scenario still lacks a place for me to plug in my blowdryer, but if I'm a 6th level wizard (with stats of my own choosing--can you say 20 INT?) then I'll have enough spell slots to keep several prestidigitations memorized, which should do the trick, I think.

:p

Not only that, but how would I reach the EN boards from over there?
