Understood. Quinn and Lucann are pursuing the Court Mage. I'm going to let you know in advance that depending on your intent and you M.O. here, this may involve a wee transition scene, then an initial Complexity 1 or 2 Skill Challenge and then, ultimately engaging the actual combat resolution mechanics, theater of the mind style. Make sure you account for your Healing Surges lost/spent and your deployed Dailies as they will likely matter (tactically) in the combat to come. I've got plenty of experience doing that in 4e so I don't think we will have a problem, but if either of you need any clarification, or an assist, let me know. It won't be an easy combat, definitely level + 2 or 3. Given that, LostSoul do you want to use your new lackey as a companion character (Brute) (and accompanying bump up of the encounter budget), or are you comfortable with the Controller/Striker setup? On to the fiction. Lucann and Quinn stay behind as Thurgon and Theron quickly trail after the burly northlander, a sprint for the King's Chambers ensuing. The scene is as you left it; quieting and calming crowd, stunned members of the War Council finishing their filing into the room, guards still seeking control of their hounds, eviscerated husk of a flesh construct as Lord Chamberlain at your feet. The Court Mage was channeling only a few short moments ago, his senses inevitably barely removed from attunement to this construct he created to pose as the Lord Chamberlain. 1 - Where do you think he is? 2 - What means are you using/what are you deploying in attempt to find him. After I have that info, we'll go from there and begin your Action Scene. Campbell I know you're a busy boy right now so I'll let LostSoul take the lead here.
