The Chosen One, Balance to the Force, and my son Connor

Am I the only one who looked at the title of this thread and assumed it was a comparison of Anakin Skywalker to The Slayer and Angel's son Conner?

You guys do realize that you're trying to analyze a movie where the level of Force power is measured in midichlorians, right?

right?

Having never watched Angel (I'm assuming you're talking about the tv show) I would never have realized there was a child in the series.

Vader brought balance to the force, by giving birth to Luke. :)

I think the phrase you meant was "fathering Luke," not "giving birth." That'd be a neat Force trick, to be sure, and I imagine he would be so stunned as to not realize he'd had twins.

You beat me to the punch on this one. Funny stuff. :)

Actually I thought it was about a comparison of messianic figures - Matrix' Neo, Star Wars' Anakin and Terminator's John Connor.

Bah. Enterprise already pulled that.

Debating the meaning of the force is rather pointless here. Those who post their ideals about what the force means, or balance in the force, obviously feel so strongly about their particular views, that I doubt there will be any who change their minds. Only Lucas knows for sure, and I think he changes his mind constantly based on marketing preferences of the masses.
