The dangers of DnD

Ooooh! A use for all our old 3.0 books. We could masquerade as concerned parents and hold a book-burnin'. Anything we can do to grow the hobby, right? Wonder if we could get Wizards to sponsor us....

Best. Idea. Evar.

It'd be cool if I could cast spells to make people buy me $200 of d&d stuff. In any case these comics are bogus and make us christians look like a bunch of lunatics.
From a nonpartisan stand point there would technically be nothing wrong if d&d did make you become a satanist. No worse than some priest converting someone to any other religion.
Therefor I think I will start telling people d&d makes you become christian and get people to convert by getting them to play (but not a crazy lunatic christian who hates d&d) .

I am glad that people can laugh at this.
Unfortunately, this is one of the things that I had to deal with when I was younger. There was a post not long ago about Urban Myths of D&D, where I posted the stories that some people came up with to try to prevent me from playing D&D. This was on of the articles that I was pointed to back then.
Obviously, we can all see through this complete absurdity, as we actually know what gaming/D&D is.
I am glad to say that most of those people that I know who thought this was have cleared there senses. I hope that there are not people who still think this way... and I hope that people here don’t think that the ignorant views expressed by “Chick” publications aren’t near what most Christians believe, or relevant to what Christianity actually is.
My other friends who are also gamers and Christian are all equally sickened, and just a bit bothered that such an ignorant person would be so zealous in his efforts to condemn people and soil the peoples views of the belief that he claims to have.

When I originally read this tract, back in th 80's sometime, I was excited! But, then the dark satantic powers never manifested themselves. Darnit!
