So I'm sitting at dinner with Bree and a friend tonight, and I started a sentence with the following:

"You know, they had **deleted for your protection** on Oprah today..."

*cringe*

Any more? :)

Her: 'So, what do you do?'
Me: 'I'm a writer.'
Her: 'Really!? Wow, that's cool. So, what do you write about?'
Me: 'Er....today I wrote about gnome demographics for six hours. Tomorrow, I hope to get onto notes about how to act like a gnome.'

I work from home, too, and I just make it a rule not to watch TV during working hours.

Strangely enough, I've actually kept my own rule for the past nine months.

LOL

I've had binges of 18+ hours of Dark Age of Camelot-until I cut myself off cold turkey. I bought RttToEE for my PC but have not even loaded it yet  .

TV and games can be a time Vampire.

The hour and a half long ritual where you visit all your normal boards and web sites, etc. Longer if you actually post something or get a reply.
You mean an hour and a half each time, right? :D

matched, cleaned, and darned all of my socks

put the soup in alphabetical order

played darts, putt putt golf, or trashbasket hoops while waiting for an idea.

My favorite was always, "Well, I didn't get paid by company X again. Guess I'll be paying my rent with my credit card..."
