I know companies. They aren’t your friends looking out for you. It’s only about the bottom line. Everything as is secondary.
That is a hell of a generalization. Not better than the fallacy before. And pessimistic.

In truth... the real question being asked here in the thread shouldn't be whether the 5E24 books are a "cash grab"... but rather whether the 5E24 books will have value. WotC is producing revisions of the 5E14 core rulebooks and selling these new books at a certain price point. Do these books have value to people? Will people spend money on them? That's the actual question being asked.

WotC's reasons for making these books has nothing to do with it. It doesn't matter in least why WotC is writing and publishing these books... what matters for every individual player out there is whether they are worth spending $60 each on for the three new books. Some will say that they are... some will say that they are not. And thus some people will buy the books... and some people will not.

Which is exactly how all commerce works.
