The Dream Walker Prestige Class

Gaiden, you've been reading the Wheel of Time lately haven't you? ;) I mean, "Gaiden", and "Dream Walker" are both major giveaways. Great series.

Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved has a dreamer PrC called the somnamancer. IIR, it had 1/2 spellcaster progression, decent skills for sneaking around (so he could get close to sleeping victims), and some powers to manipulate dreams, implant suggestions and the like. I've got no idea if it's OGL or not.

I received the penumbra Occult Lore book and the onemancer looks all right. Its not exactly what I originally had in mind, but I like the simplicity of their mechanics as well as the way they are streamlined across all classes.

I am the DM and have dream planes contingent upon dreamers. That means 2 important things. 1.) the dream plane will not exist unless someone is dreaming, 2.) there isn't necessarily just one dream plane. The entire plot of one of my adventures is based around the second point. In short, a Riedran citizen with the capability to be an inspired was kidnapped by House Cannith. Experimentation was performed on the kidnapped victim to take an alternate approach to the warforged - what I call the bio-forged. The bioforged were designed to retain the flexibility/versatility/adaptability of a human but have the mechanical abilities to follow orders like a machine. This was a parallel project to the warforged but was not used for the war and thus remained secret. The reason a Riedran was kidnapped and used for the experimentation was because of the ease with which their body could be possessed. The experimental theory went that if they body could be possessed very easily, then it could therefore stop one step early and just act as an empty husk. This first required extraction of the original soul. After this was done clones of the body were made. These empty husks were then used to become clone-wars-esk soldiers. Unfortunately, for House Cannith, as with the warforged, the bioforged began to develop sentience. Unbeknownst to House Cannith, the creation pattern they were using (both in the warforged and bioforged construction) was far more intricate then they thought - sort of how we are finding that there is another code within DNA - more than just ATGC strings of code. However such sentience is truly created - from nothing. With no ties to the existing dream plane, that sentience started developing its own dream plane.

So all this is a prelude to explain that the player in my game will become an Onemancer, but as a gestalt character. I don't normally play gestalt, but this will be an exception. He will have the opportunity to go beyond 10th level and when he does so he will begin to awaken his divine powers. He is the lone survivor of these soldiers, and the only one to develop sentience. As such he has his own dream plane. Moreover, he has the ability to sequester dreamers to his own dream realm - much to the chagrin of the Quori.

Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions.
