Cloudy's fine. Dim light is moonlight, torchlight, that sort of thing. Daytime should be fine unless their heavy storm clouds or something.

He looks great.

You min-maxed. It sort of makes sense for the character, but you did. Just saying. He's pretty much a clobberer. Not smart enough to make deductions, not charismatic enough to be the face, all he's really built for is killing things. There's nothing wrong with that, as long as you'll be happy playing him. I have a friend who loves playing the brute of the group. Not my cup of tea, but I'll make sure he has stuff to do if that's what you like to play.

For the record, min-maxing is ok, but make sure it makes sense for the character (this sort of does). If you min-max just so you can be awesome in combat, you're going to be disappointed when I put you in the middle of some court intrigue and nobody thought to have a high charisma. Just saying. I'm not going to punish you for not having every role, but there will certainly be times when talking your way out is a lot less dangerous than fighting your way out. Just saying.

Ye it just happens force of habit. I'll be getting my rp fun from the shifting of personality.

P.s court intrigue can be solved by an idiot sometimes, they see things we don't.
Oh quick edit if my min-max becomes an issue ill edit my char. I don't even realize I'm doing it.

Hey tglassy,

I just wanted to share some links I found about flight and hovering:
http://www.sageadvice.eu/2015/08/06/hover-flying-creature/
http://www.sageadvice.eu/2016/05/28/difference-between-hover-and-flying/

I basically wanted to see if flying creatures could hover in 5e, and it's pretty clear that they can. I wanted your confirmation that this fits with what you had in mind.

Also, I wanted to check if it is ok to use the training rules int the phb p187 for skills. As a monk, my character doesn't really need equipment, so I wanted to spend 250gp/language, tool or skill or perhaps even a feat, if possible (note that the rules are explicit regarding language and tools, and anything else needs to be DM approved. I am assuming that rp-relevant skills would be ok, and perhaps a feat but at a higher cost (500 or the full 750)). What do you think?
Thanks and cheers,

SG
