D&D General The Elven Empire that never was, yet has an Imperial Fleet, the LeShay, and the Elven homeworld

Wasn’t it in Elves of Evermeet where it’s stated that grey elves/sun elves arrive thought portal while high elves/moon elves travelled there via spelljammer ship, both being surprised to see that the green elves were there before them?

Yup, they destroyed their homeworld of Tintageer (sp?) with the same magic they later tried to use to create a ''promised land'' in Toril by merging it with Arvandor, causing the first Sundering. If you follow Realmslore, some high admirals of the elven flotilla reside in Evermeet.

I love the idea of having the LeShay being the guardians of Elven High Magic that destroyed their homeworld, creating a massive armada wandering space, with a few of them arriving on Toril and having their descendant try the same dumb idea and failing yet again.

Only one question remains: did this happened before or after the whole Corellon/Lolth split? I have in mind that this happened before, then after the elves settled in many worlds, the division between elfves and dark elves happened.

Didn't some supplement, IIRC in 4e, connect them to the Far Realm? As in they tried to open the ultimate planar gate to reach beyond the known planes and inadvertently found the Far Realm on the other side?

By the time they could (mostly) seal their misstake their empire was destroyed
