The Essentials Human (wild mass guessing)

The PHB1 human gets a third at-will. Obviously this does not work with classes that don't get at-wills (like the Essentials Knight).
Any ideas what humans will get instead?

Second, there is the open question whether they get a second ability score boost or not.

Possibilities include:

1. Infinite saffron (much rarer than oregano)

2. Free long-distance minutes that don't expire

3. A free lunch (the only way to get one in the entire universe)

4. A Win button

But personally, I'd like a second ability score boost. The lack of it is the one big downer to choosing Human. Well, I'm a sucker for low-light vision, but we know they won't get that. Another possibility would be a built-in boost to saves, a la Human Perseverance, but without requiring a feat.

Why not? Essentials characters can take PHB1 stuff, so long as they qualify. Why can't a human knight have his stances and an at-will power like Tide of Iron for those times when he wants to use an at-will instead of modifying a basic?

Exactly. The at will stances are clearly analogous with the current fighter's at will powers.

But not interchangeable as it currently stands.

The stances are 'Utility' powers, which the human feature does not permit, as it only allows Level 1 At-Will Attack Powers.

So the PHB human does not work with the essentials fighter, and nor does 'Just take a PHB at-will' really work given the essentials fighter doesn't have access to that. That meaning, the Essentials fighter has to be self-contained, otherwise the Essentials line does not work. The Essentials human must be different in some way to accomodate the lack of level 1 attack at-will powers.

Couldn't they just add a note for the Essential fighter (or other similar classes) that humans get a third stance, instead of an at-will attack power? I think they did something similar with PHB3 when they introduced psionics, where they had (I believe) a sidebar explaining how it interacts with the human bonus at-will.

Just because the knight build of the fighter class doesn't use at-will powers doesn't mean that a human who is a fighter (no matter the build) can't choose an at-will power as the rules say he can. After all, it says to pick an at-will from your class not your build.

What, exactly, prevents a human from doing so, because no rules we've seen say they can't. A human knight would have 2 stances and 1 at-will power, and I fail to see the obstacle or problem with that (aside from an Essentials only player maybe not having at-will fighter attack powers at his disposal).

Humans get a free at-will 1st level attack power as a psionic class, just like every other class.

Isn't there a sidebar or something explaining that their bonus at-wills loses the "augmentable" keyword and cannot be augmented? Or if not a sidebar, and explanation in the psionic at-will rules? Couldn't you have a similar notice for the essentials knight and similiar builds ("if you have a race feature that gives you a bonus at-will attack power of 1st level, you can use it to take a stance instead")?
