One other new thing will be that there is that "Psionic" is a new subtype, and it applies to any creature with psi-like abilities or has psionic strength points. The subtype itself doesn't really do anything except to denote that the creature is psionic in nature (presumably this is to determine what powers and effects it is/isn't subject to, a la the Extraplanar subtype).

Many of them seem to be the same old powers, renamed. I'm guessing many powers are being changed around due to augmentations now.

lots of psionic base classes... that's neat, if one wanted to do a all-psi / no-magic campaign, it looks like it would actually be possible. between psion, psychic warrior, wilder, soulknife, erudite, and then fighter, rogue, barbarian, you'd have plenty of options for PCs. (maybe even throw in monks and call their supernatural abilities psi.)

This got me thinking about the NPC classes (four out of five could be used in such an all-psi/no-magic campaign). It would be cool if there were a psionic version of the Adept NPC class, wouldn't it? Some class that's less powerful than the other psionic classes, but represents primitive tribes of creatures who have a leader that's begun to increase his/her mentality, and psionic powers along with it.

Soulknife as a base class? Awesome! Thanks for the scoop.

Please note that "The Soulknife has all but officially been confirmed, but not much is known about it." So it isn't really official yet that I have seen. I hope it is, but we'll have to wait and see.
