Well, as long as we're reciting facts, here's a few more put into one place... Alarms and Journeys is not officially part of NuTSR. It's an independent magazine published solely by Dave Johnson (collaborator with NuTSR to do art and writing for Star Frontiers: New Genesis). It's published under the company "Johnson Publishing Group" and is available directly from their website and Amazon. They have an ENWorld account: @AlarmsJourneys And they have previously done a bit of marketing on this site: Alarms & Journeys magazine In addition to ripping off their name and Star Frontiers, they have received C&Ds from Hasbro for references to Hero Quest, got angry threats from Solarian Games (aka Luke Gygax) for claiming to be successor to Gygax Magazine, and have been found making many questionable references to things that probably aren't allowed under the OGL including Greyhawk and AD&D brand names. Dave has a history of other shady things as well, like claiming his work is supported by the "American Association of Amateur Journalists", which is an organization he formed and is the sole member of. It has been alleged online that his companies are all held under his spouses name so he can get paid for his work while receiving disability benefits. At some point, it's hard to tell how much of this is him being sleazy, and how much of it is just typical internet drama. I haven't included most of Dave's drama in this thread, because it's not directly part of the NuTSR saga, and frankly I don't like giving Dave too much attention. But if someone is interested I can share some links in the thread above (or a new one if needed).
